Created  by master artisan and saxophone mouthpiece model maker, Gary Sugal. This  model was especially designed for Italian saxophonist extraordinaire, Stefano Bedetti.  The SB Retro has that little something extra every high level player seeks.

Sugal’s STEFANO BEDETTI METAL “RETRO”  is designed using cutting edge 3D cad programs. Specific request  by the artist were made to achieve a special effect tonality in the upper altissimo register.  

Sugal’s STEFANO BEDETTI METAL “RETRO”. has a unique “medium raised baffle” offering outstandng rich projection   while at the same time retain a “fat, huge”  tonality.

As all the 3D metal Sugal models the first thing you will notice that the “Yeti” has  is a weight that is 3.2x heavier than any other 3D printed mouthpiece on the market. 

STEFANO BEDETTI METAL “RETRO” is reminiscent of the sound of the great sound of Sonny Rollins, Stitt, Trane and has an ease of playability from low Bb right into the altissimo. 

Players will find that the overall dynamics and blend of the copper –brass- tin, a proprietary granulated powder formula filament  helps create a very controlled responding tonality. unlike any other mmouthpiece on the market 

In order to maintain stringent quality control the STEFANO BEDETTI  3D“RETRO STEFANO BEDETTI METAL “RETRO”  is manufactured in house in East Providence  Rhode Island. Each piece is hand sanded, polished, play tested by Sugal and sanitized prior to shipping.

Sugal’s STEFANO BEDETTI METAL “RETRO” as well as other Sugal models are individually hand sanded, polished, and  finished to a semi-gloss texture then play tested and sanitized by Sugal prior to leaving the factory
