Created  by master artisan and saxophone mouthpiece model maker, Gary Sugal. This model is a cross over between a model one and a model two. 

Sugal’s 3D METALLICA PRINTED YETI is designed and manufactured based upon cutting edge 3D printing technology   for players who perform cool jazz as well as rock, contemporary, and fusion styled music but donot want “that much projection.

Sugal’s 3D METALLICA PRINTED YETI. Has a “medium raised baffle” that offer some projection and edge while at the same time has a traditional tonality.

The very first thing you will notice when you pick up the YETI    is the weight of the mouthpiece: it is 3.2x heavier than any other 3D printed mouthpiece on the market. 

Sugal’s 3D METALLICA PRINTED YETI is reminiscent of the sound of Dexter, Trane and has an ease of playability from low Bb right into the altissimo. 

Players will find that the overall dynamics and blend of the copper –brass- tin,  a proprietary granulated powder formula filament  helps  create a very controlled responding tonality.

In order to maintain stringent quality control.. the Yeti is manufactured in house in East Providence  Rhode Island.   

Sugal’s 3D METAL PRINTED MB III +s metallic filament was developed to look and feel like a metal mouthpiece, and removes harsh overtones. It  has an exceptional even-ness flow into every register of the horn.. .

Sugal’s 3D METALLICA PRINTED YETI as well as other Sugal models are individually hand sanded, polished, and  finished to a semi-gloss texture. 

Sugal’s 3D METALLICA PRINTED YETI features a modified  raised baffle ” thus allowing for a more controlled projecting sound with spot on intonation.

Sugal’s 3D METALLICA PRINTED YETI has inherent qualities that include a fat thick soulful sound, outstanding harmonics that are easily controlled. 

Sugal’s 3D METALLICA PRINTED YETI has Sugal’s original machined rolled over styled “snow-hill” and parallel “mini-tracks” baffle  Players will find this model to be   effortless to play requiring no back pressure while at the same time  able to achieve an amazing “personal “ sound ..
